ABLE (AmeriCorps Builds Lives Through Education) members support school readiness through engaging in educational games and social emotional learning with students. As an ABLE member, you will serve full time alongside school staff in education settings to support the students in your community who need you the most.
ABLE Summer Learning
ABLE Summer Learning partners with schools and organizations in Western New York to boost academic success for K-12 students. Each summer, we engage national service members who serve full-time for eight weeks, helping combat summer learning loss by providing math and literacy support. Members also assist with daily youth programming at their host sites, gaining valuable experience working with students in the region.
ABLE members might:
- Play math games with students (don’t worry, they're fun!)
- Provide mentorship and guidance to young children
- Support whole class learning
Benefits include:
